The town orders high reflectivity flag style signs. Due to the high quality of these signs the lead time is one month. We ask you be patient – you will not be disappointed!
New Buildings/Numbers: Contact Waushara County Zoning at 920.787.0453 to begin the process of obtaining an address. The town will order and install your sign in the designated location. You will be invoiced for the cost of the sign, post shipping, and installation. Should the invoice not be paid, the cost will be added to your property tax bill as a ‘special charge’.
Replacements: Contact the clerk at 715.223.5367 to order a replacement sign and post if needed (u-style). The town will order and deliver the new sign, and post if needed, to you. You will be invoiced for the cost of the sign and shipping; and post if needed. Should the invoice not be paid, the cost will be added to your property tax bill as a ‘special charge’.
If you would like us to install the new sign, just let the clerk know. Should you receive a post, please be sure to install the new post in the same location as the old post because of the location requirements. You are required to contact a member of the town board before your driveway is installed. The area will be reviewed for safety concerns, possible culvert needs, and other zoning requirements. Failure to do so may delay construction and could result in relocation.

For home owner insurance purposes be sure your insurance company has on file your designated department. Doing so may result in a decrease of your insurance premium. Coloma Volunteer Fire Department Sections 4-9, 16-21, 28-33. Wautoma Area Fire District Sections 1-3, 10-15, 22-27, 34-36. Your section is noted on your property tax bill.
We ask you keep the ditches and road right-a-ways clear for the purposes of shoulder mowing, snow removal and general safety. The town continuously trims trees and brush 33’ from the road’s centerline. Be advised structures placed within the right-a-way could be considered an encroachment.
