The town hall is suitable for smaller meeting groups. High speed Wi-fi is available. The site also has a playground, ball field, picnic tables, and outdoor grill.

History - Prior to 1982 the town hall was a building with no running water. Imagine being an election inspector during that time! Ideas for a new town hall began with Bill Becker donating a substantial parcel of land to the Town in Memory of Elmer Weiland. Art Schwersenska loved to polka dance. So, the community decided if they were to build a new town hall the building should be large enough to host a community center. Monies were appropriated at an annual town meeting and a building committee formed. Once the shell was up the community went to work to finish the inside. Vern Slife installed the wiring, others installed the flooring, kitchen, bar area, and restrooms. Once complete Art had a place to polka and the community had a most wonderful place to gather.

In 1982 the Richford Community Association (RCA) was formed. The group worked tireless sponsoring fundraisers and dances in order to pay off the building. Today the group has the tremendous job of keeping the center and parking lot open for use. The RCA sponsors one annual fundraiser per year. Come support the them at the annual RCA Annual Pancake Breakfast held on the Sunday closest to St. Patrick’s Day. They can boast the BEST HOMEMADE POTATO PANCAKES!

RCA Members – Today’s members include President Millie Bruch, Vice President Jeri Ann Martin, Secretary Mary Johnson, and Treasurer Karen Crawford. Several other community members assist the ladies with maintenance, event planning, and in determining future needs at the annual meeting. Please thank them for the wonderful service they provide the Richford Community!
